Event Title: Using DBDebug.log to Troubleshoot Performance
Event Description: DBDebug.log only shows up when you turn on the right flags in ClarisConfig.json—but once you do, it’s a really useful window into what FileMaker is actually doing under the hood.
In this session, we’ll walk through how to use that log to see how many calls FileMaker Pro is making to the Server, and why that matters for performance. Vince will share his go-to approach for tracking down slow spots, especially in list views.
We’ll also talk about how to set a baseline for performance—what’s the fastest FileMaker can deliver the data?—and then compare that to a slower layout. From there, we’ll look at practical ways to figure out what’s causing the slowdown and how to fix it.
