Expand on FileMaker's built-in capabilities by connecting to AWS services. Below are some samples integration files along with overview videos. AWS has 150+ different services available for developers to access. Our demos leverage three of the more popular services that find frequent use with businesses. Credit for the work here lies mostly with RCC staff, however, we want to provide a shoutout to Jesse Barnum for his 2017 Devcon presentation. Good stuff!! - Richard
Download all Three Sample FilesAmazon Transcribe is an automatic speech recognition (ASR) service that makes it easy for developers to add speech-to-text capability in their FileMaker custom apps. Our demo file uses the Amazon Transcribe API, allowing you to analyze audio files stored in Amazon S3 and have the service return a text file of the transcribed speech. Several file formats are supported. For more information visit Amazon.
Amazon Textract is a service that automatically extracts text and data from scanned documents. Amazon Textract can go beyond simple optical character recognition (OCR) to also identify the contents of fields in forms and information stored in tables. Extracting document text and putting it into a FileMaker field, makes the document searchable. For more information visit Amazon.
Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) is essentially an online file storage service. This file storage service offers industry-leading scalability, data availability, security, and performance. This FileMaker Demo App shows you how to upload documents out of a filemaker container up to S3, and how to generate a public url link to that document. For more information visit Amazon.
